★ DOSSIER · CLOUD ★
What is .cloud?
For cloud infrastructure, hosting platforms, SaaS, IaaS, PaaS — any business whose architecture or product is cloud-based.
★ Mission log · Interesting facts
- Aruba, the Italian cloud-hosting giant, operates .cloud — making it a registry actually run by a cloud company.
- Many "X-as-a-Service" startups choose .cloud over .io because it states their business model directly.
- .cloud renewal pricing is unusually flat — same price for new, transfer, and renew, which makes long-term cost predictable.
